I was born and raised in Halifax, but lived/worked away after qualifying as a nurse at 20. I later also trained as a social worker in older people's care, I have 2 daughters and a grandson. I'm now back in Calderdale. I am living with young onset dementia and have become an international dementia activist. My hobbies are socialising with friends, watercolour painting and writing poetry.
