I started my career as a Military Policewoman serving in the Armed Forces, then moved into Surveillance before taking a break to raise my family. I then started my own child minding business and around the year 2000 I became extremely passionate about fund raising and raising public awareness for cervical cancer. As a result I naturally worked with many of the UK cancer related charities and found that I really enjoyed it. So, nowadays I work as a Cervical Cancer Support Leader for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. I have personally been responsible for many PR opportunities for various national charities eg. Cancer Research and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and have also worked with local Ayrshire and Arran MP, Katy Clark to get an audience with Gordon Brown in 2009 at No. 10 Downing Street. As a result of my charity work I have an excellent network of contacts in the local Ayrshire press, radio, the National Scottish newspapers, Channel 4 and also STV. I typically work with charities like Cancer Research, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and North Ayrshire Cancer Care but have worked with other non charity organisation's in the past eg. Ayrshire LET's and local tradesmen and will consider most enquiries.
