
Ayrshire woman & Cervical Cancer Survivor Suzanne Fernando"s high-profile role in
the battle to ensure more Scottish women get screened for cervical cancer took her all the way to Downing Street.
The mum-of-two met Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah at number 10 and was able to talk to him about proposals for a national policy on screening to be introduced.
Suzanne is now a Cervical Cancer Support Group Leader for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust,
and has directed her efforts at fundraising to fight the condition and increased awareness of its causes and effects over the past 10 years.
