Kato is working in the newly founded Participatory office at the local government of the VIIIth district of Budapest. She tells about her work during the COVID crisis, consisting in the set-up and organization of a group of around 100 volunteers bringing food, medicament and other assistance to inhabitants under lock-down, such as elderly people, or people put under quarantine by the authorities. She explains her positive feelings about the strengthening of local solidarity as a positive effect of the COVID crisis and the intentions of the bureau to keep this dynamic live, and to continue working with the volunteers even after re-opening.
