A Quiet House

It seems very quiet here tonight

No scream, shout or fight

Or "Turn Out the Light!"

Or "It's Too Bright!"

Or "Change My Bed!"

Just quiet instead.

I miss her shout.  What's that all about?

When she shouts I sigh:  "She's in a mood!"

It's my secret... I hate the peace, the quiet, the solitude,

The rude "I'm Awake" or "Change My Nappy"

Yes, it's my secret -  They really make me happy!

A motivator for life

An escape from strife.

A comfort.

Just don't tell my wife.
