A young person living in Denmark discusses the impact the covid-19 pandemic had on her, her family's business, and her mental health, as well as the frustrations she has with the way in which the pandemic was handled by government's, and how she feels teenagers are losing out on their life experiences as a result.

What was your experience after COVID-19 pandemics? It was very boring and monotone, like most of the time. I just sat in my room doing nothing sitting on my computer, uh, lying in my bed, hugging my cat. Um, then obviously, you know, I went to school, but when it was online schooling, it's very when it's over. Online schooling

It's really hard to like focus on the subject that the teacher is teaching about, because obviously there's so much more interesting stuff that I could be doing that second. But then, during, uh, normal school, I would be very stressed about it because, well, it's it's school. I don't like school

Um, and then obviously I was worrying a lot about how it's gonna affect my life. And just in general, worrying about the pandemic, what more you worried about? It's like I said, my how it's gonna affect my life. Um, just the co covid pandemic in general, but also how it's gonna affect me as a person how it's gonna affect my family, Uh, how it affected just the economy

Like for example, uh, my parents lost their restaurant during the covid pandemic because they had to lock the kid down and they weren't making as much money anymore. Uh, and then we also had to move to a smaller house because again, my parents weren't making that much money anymore, and we couldn't afford living in our previous house. So in general, it just wasn't that fun

Did you feel like you want to motivate it? But yeah, I was definitely, very not motivated. Like I would come back from school or finish online schooling, and I didn't have the motivation to do anything. I would just lay in my bed and stay there

If I did have motivation. It was because my mom made me do something for her, which was really nice, because it just kind of took me out of that state of just like it took me out of that state of just like oblivion where I was laying in my bed all day. Mhm

So So, yeah, just in general, it was very boring and monotone and like even since we're chill like teenagers, we're supposed to be going out there and doing stuff and having fun and experiencing all those amazing teenage things that people talk about all the time. But I feel like our teenagers are being taken away just because of COVID-19 and because the adults can't handle the pandemic. So, yeah, that's just my thoughts about it
