What are your hopes for, for the future? Well, um, I'm hoping that, um. My partner gets himself. Um, assessed for processing problems because he has, um, and also. Um, goes to rehab again, cause the 3 months that you're only allowed in Stockport was just not enough for a lifetime of abuse
And, um, you know, of using, he was, you know, medded as a child and locked in a padlocked bedroom with nothing and no one. yeah, yeah. And plus he was widowed at 27 with 5 children, so
That was huge because she was his rock, you know, um, so he's sought the help now, um, but of course we never trusting anybody and never having counselling and falling through every gap in the system since birth, which is what one of the professionals told him, you know, it's, it's gonna be a very long journey, you know. Um, but I have seen it happen. He managed to get over 100 days, so I just pray that he can have another go at it, you know, and get the support that he needs medically and professionally, because he's just found out he's got cancer again
Um, so yeah, um. Yeah, yeah, um, with us both looking after our friends, um, my best friend, um, with bipolar, that took a. He came out of rehab into like absolute madness and trying to get her sectioned, you know, and detained because she was really, really dangerously ill and dangerous
We must see a difference in you. Oh yes, yeah, he has, and all my family have. Um, yeah, um
My, my life has become Stabler for the first time and I really do have a, a grasp on some real hope that isn't fictitious and. That isn't just gonna fly away, you know, when, when I start going off off key with my behaviours or my thought processes or self beliefs, um, I can reach out to somebody who gets it, and they can put me straight, you know, and reassure me that that's not real, you know, that's just your brain telling you stuff. And that's helped immensely
Um, I'm also hoping, um, I did an ambassador's course with CG. And um. I'm hoping to be able to set up a group for people with addiction
Well, I've already got a group that's going called um Living the Dream Clean Activity Group because I found. Yeah, yeah. Well, I found that I didn't have anyone to associate with Terry went into rehab
Um, and I didn't have anyone to sort of play with. Um, and it became very isolating and of course there's the meetings, but there. You know, you go there to, you know, it's a the sort type of therapy and it's to do the work sort of thing on ourselves, um
But socially, I didn't have anybody or, you know, and I didn't really know how to so um I created a group which we just used to go for picnics after the meeting. Um, or coffees, um, and social interaction, isn't it just normal life. Yeah, yeah, definitely
And, um, me and my partner were volunteering on the, um, community spirit to, um, charity boat in Ashton. Yeah. And, um, Princess Anne, everyone got to meet her, but nobody told me and I, I missed out on meeting her last May, but she drove the boat
I'm well gutted. But yeah, um, and that's because we don't have the car anymore because he's, he's not medically well enough to have it now. So, um, I've, I've organised two different boat trips for people who are
Um, trying to build up healthy relationships and friendships with people with in a safe way, you know, even sitting in a park on a hot sunny day, a lot of people would use alcohol or drugs, and we were able to do that together, um, in a safe way, you know, to support each other in not having urges to crack open a bottle of wine or something like that. Um, so that's sort of up and running a little bit, but I want to do more work in Brinington and Stockport. So I've been um
I have been struggling physically, so, um, um, and with the ambassador's course, it is designed to sort of like set up um groups and stuff and to help in volunteering and that, so. I'm hoping to Get something off the ground, um.
