Report transcript in: COVID Young Person Reflective Interview
Please Report the Errrors?
OK, so how did you feel when lockdown was announced?
Chilling.
Chilling.
So
that's it.
So,
um
So
what was it? Was there something that you enjoyed about lockdown?
You know,
not well, not going to school.
Didn't like school.
Didn't like school.
So
how did you feel your time instead of going to school?
I I didn't really do anything
do anything at all.
So how did that make you feel?
Sorry.
Um, yeah, I definitely really.
It was like it got really long looking like I not even important than that.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Was, um
I think
question was there
was there anything you were worried about?
When when will it start? Like, when would we get everything going to be normal again?
Yeah.
So then when it when it all sort of lifted.
And when restrictions kind of went,
um,
when
restrictions lifted, Um, how did you feel then?
It felt better. Like knowing that
it was, like, sort of getting better.
Yeah,
and then doing things like
the sort The sort of school, I guess, and doing things like,
um, lessons and programmes that again. How did that feel?
Um, I don't really do anything too far.
So how how did it feel being able to go to places like
here?
I think I think sky
are like, I don't know What sky.
Yeah.
So what?
What was the first thing you felt confident to do when the restrictions lifted?
Uh,
eat food,
like, go out to eat food?
Food?
How was there something particularly you felt about that?
Just
I don't know.
I just thought it was better cos you like
you weren't allowed to restaurants or anything once you
so
Yeah,
I'm just
I literally it was my birthday, Literally.
Like on my birthday night at 12 o'clock, we went back into lockdown,
so
I started a party anyway, so it was just It was.
So how did that feel going
back
in?
It was
It was It was weird because
I had my party plan for ages because we weren't in lockdown like we just came out of it.
But then
on my birthday, like the the day,
some people's parents will worry about it so some people couldn't come,
but it still
it was still like still All right,
So then,
um,
now we're kind of out of it. What are you looking forward to? Right?
And
you know what? That's actually my my birthday, like, next month. And then it's just
That's why I
Oh, I don't I didn't have much of that one.
Are you saying this to anyone?
No.
Um, well, it's gonna go.
It might go on to like, um, a community reporters website,
but it's only accessed by people who do community reporters.
And it is quite difficult to find other people, unless you specifically search
for it.
I found.
So I guess one last question, like obviously with your friend.
How did you find, um, staying in touch with your friend? And like,
was there anything difficult about that?
Was there anything that you found That kind of maybe
made it a bit rocky? Sometimes. Is there anything like that?
Got it.
Cos the girls. That's one thing.
And then we want food
a lot of time, and then it's just we can't get food. And it's just
What do you mean when you say you,
What's that
like?
I don't know. I just feel like
if it was like,
it's like sisters in it. But
like a friend, it's like
you're arguing every
things like your hair brochure, your makeup.
Whereas if it was a boy,
it wouldn't it wouldn't have been as bad cos
he's not gonna take your clothes or your jeans or
like, cos you couldn't be a bit interesting most of the time. So it'd be like,
Why are you wearing my t-shirt?
Or like, make up? But other than that, it was all like,
do you think it
like?
Do you think there was ways in which that made your friendship stronger?
Yeah.
Like, made you realise we were like
because most people couldn't see their friends and stuff or family and
to like to be able to it was just there
on your
So if you could
speak to yourself back then
and give yourself one piece of advice or tell yourself something,
what would you say?
Um,
but it was not bad after,
but in the end,
Up-big
