It is time again for the dark creeping in and celebrating  Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night.  We want to hear your stories about these fun festivals that bring out the child in all of us . What will you be doing on Halloween the 31 st October and Guy Fawkes Night the fifth of November ? Do you dress up as a witch or a spooky monster ? Do you play trick or treat? Do you do apple bobbing and build a big bonfire out of old sofas? Do you love fireworks?  Maybe you don’t like it because of the noise scaring your pets or the cheeky kids knocking on your door .

We' d love to hear your stories in the form of  blogs , videos , audio or photographic  pieces .

I really like bonfire night but  I enjoyed it more as a kid though. We  would build a bonfire from old sofas , wood and anything we could find, we would dangerously make a den in it and sit in it all day. Dont try this at home kids.. We had to guard it to prevent other kids nicking our wood .  When the bonfire had gone down a bit we would put potatoes in it and have them with butter.  I remember trick or treating all night and only getting £1. My local bonfire run by the council was in Buile Hill Park, Salford ,It was enormous and still runs today. There is a great fair that goes on alongside the bonfire.  I went to Pendle Hill in Lancashire  a few times at Halloween . Me and my teenage mates would drive up to the top where the witches got hung and scare ourselves to death . I remember one year in the eighties there was an acid house party on top of the hill. Have you got any good memories or stories about Bonfire night , we’ d love to hear them. Please tag them  Bonfire or Halloween
