This story is of how Keith Dewsnup and myself spent 23 days living amongst the homeless in the middle of the Peace gardens at the back of Manchester Town hall. it was cold it was wet and at times scary.  People from all walks of life who had been abandoned by the system or who had opted out of it... struggling to survive, struggling to find food and shelter and safety.  there was war veterans, with no home to call there own.  battered wives who had done a runner from partners who had ill treated them , there was young people who could not find shelter at night shelters supposed to be there to help. during our 23 days Keith and I myself helped to feed and clothe these people,  friends of ours from the world of music came to entertain for FREE.... and the general public also donated food and clothes there are some really genuine people out there and i cant thank them enough for the support that they gave...Neither keith or myself were qualified to counsel these people but we got through it and helped many people and directed them in the right direction for support........people pulled together to help those in need and i am sure there will be an added comment from Keith when he sees this posting so be prepared to understand why we did this folks.

What a GREAT shot of Keith - love it. It's really immediate and strong. The power of a good photo eh. Great story, thanks for posting. There's some posts on here from a Street Pastor and this reminded me of her posts > about the 'other world' of night time people.
