On the 18th of June 2016, Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society hosted a free, fun-filled Carnival to celebrate the 470th anniversary of Scotland's Privy Council meeting in Ardrossan Castle. Guests were transported back to medieval times learning the customs of horse jousting, archery, medieval weaponry and clothing. Other attractions included the children's joust, pop-up theatre and music.
