Citywest housing trust put on a V.E. day celebration for local residents at the hub. Residents were invited to dress up if they wished and join in a party atmosphere.
Harry Stubbs a well known local character for all the best reasons, dressed as a very good Churchill. Harry helps out on a voluntary basis around the village and likes to be involved in activities. An ex biker Harry loves Rock music and is shortly to do a Freddie Mercury act dressed in full attire. At Christmas he goes to great lengths to dress his mobility scooter up as Santa's sleigh and entertain at a number of venues. Both children and adults love to see him. He also raises money for charities.
Harry is an all round well liked guy who brings fun and laughter into the Eccles community.
