As part of the Interfaith Radio Project some members attended the launch of the Trafford Shankh (a Hindu group) took place on Saturday 26th March 2011 at St Matthews Hall in Stretford, Manchester.
The evening was organised by the committee of Trafford Shankh.
Yogesh Virmani, pictured above, is the founding chair of the group and also on the board of People's Voice Media
There were presentations of Hindu prayers, music and dance followed by speeches from local dignitaries including the Mayor of Trafford Councillor Ken Weston.
The night ended with music and a vegetarian buffet.
