Working with a group of parents who have disabled children, the ICR have explored how video storytelling techniques and Community Reporting practices can be used to support transition processes. This has involved the parents creating video stories about their family and recording video clips that illustrate their child's care needs.

These password-protected videos are currently being embedded into Education and Health Care plans and Personal Statements, and are being shared with new support staff entering the families' lives. As part of the project, the parents also created online learning resources to support other parents to use video in this way, and they have been delivering advocacy events in Wigan to promote these resources.

This short video documents the parents' experiences of the programme and how they are using the videos.
