Whilst doing my voluntary work at the Disability Forum some visitors called from The Salford Clinical Commisioning Group to leave some leaflets.
The Communication Pack called Power in our Hands has been designed by a group of adults with learning difficulties and complex needs.
The pack will be available at GP Surgeries and uses symbols so they can point to where their problem is on their body if they are unable to speak to the doctor directly.
It will help create a relaxed and positive experience for both the doctor's and the patient's.
It is something that I had never thought of before but I am sure it is improvement
