Does your local park have outdoor gym equipment ? If so ..........is it in the right area of the park ? do you see people using the equipment ? do groups of users come at different times ? is the equipment vandalized is it repaired when it gets broken.
Salford Council in conjunction with the NHS have installed equipment as above in 16 local parks.
Should there be more of this type of equipment installed in other areas , ie communal gardens in housing estates etc.
Its free to use and can be the only opportunity some will have to use fitness equipment.......so why is this type of equipment not installed more widely.
If you think such kit would be useful in your area , let the Council now and also ask yout Local Councillor to support your bid for this type of stuff.
