Local Residents from Crossley and Primrose Bank in Oldham gathered together on Thursday 4th of October at the Great Places Office on Union Street in the Town Centre to become Community Reporters.
The course, which runs over 6 days,is delivered by David Kay of People's Voice Media and covers basic skills such as story telling, taking and editing photos, producing short films and posting them on the internet.

"This course is helping local residents to get the skills and share their experiences within Inspired Living newsletter" says Anisa Akhtar, Housing Services Apprentice at Great Places Housing Group.

"The newsletter is distributed to all residents living in the Oldham PFI area. It is very informative about what is happening in their community and any upcoming events they can get involved in"

"I am on the course because I want to help the community" says Paul of Primrose Bank. "I want to promote events taking place at my local centre by writing articles, taking photos and producing short films"
