Recently Leigh Hackspace started running sessions for home educators.
Its quite far so my goal was every other week. So far we have only been twice.
The first time he made a wooden sword, without any influence from me.
Today he decided he wanted to make a shield, he found the sawing hard going. He had trouble keeping it strait and his slow progress was hard for him.
We managed to cut 3 of the four corners off before we ran out of time.
As hard as he found it he didnt give up. Which i think will mean he will learn all these things in the end.
