Horrible Histories

If history lessons at school were just a little like Horrible Histories, I would have a Masters degree in history now!

As you enter the theatre leave your adult self at the door and set free the inner child for an hilarious romp through a thousand years of history.  Starting at the roman invasion and ending with poor old Harold with an arrow in his eye - 43 ad to 1066.(See I've learnt something!)

The five actors are excellent - you feel as though there is a much larger cast - at one point four people felt like a conquering army.  The show includes some of the less savory aspects of history and war without being so graphic as to distress the younger members of the audience.

My one complaint is that there were not enough 3d glasses for the whole audience ...... I was too late to get some -sulking now :(, although I still enjoyed watching the kids reacting to heads and limbs flying towards them, (cartoon like not Quentin Tarantino-ish).

All in all a great way to teach/learn without it feeling like a lesson.
