Cancer Campaigns Ambassador, Suzanne Fernando spent the week at Crosshouse Hospital for a different reason!
Cervical Cancer Survivor Suzanne, along with her 2 helpers,
daughters Jordan and Aaron took charge of the Health Display Unit,
where they spoke with patients, visitors and staff about CRUK's latest
campaign, The Answer is Plain and gathering many signatures too.  Along
with her daughters they provided important information on varied types
of cancers,  including skin cancers, male and female cancers and of
course lung cancer.

They carry out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and
treat cancer. CRUK have discovered new ways to beat cancer that
together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.

Suzanne said, 'One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our
lives. There groundbreaking work, funded almost entirely by the
general public, will ensure that millions more people survive'. 

During
her week at the hospital, Suzanne was invited into the HBSA Crosshouse
Hospital Radio where she was interviewed by the lovely Margaret Brown,
from Saltcoats, a volunteer DJ, they discussed CRUK, her roles as an
ambassador and The Answer is Plain campaign.  Margaret (or Maggie as
she's known in the DJ world) is currently studying at HNC Creative
Industries: Radio at Reid Kerr.

her spread the message about CRUK's latest campaign.
