Are you sitting at home and staring at the tv with thoughts running though your head? Are you on a NHS waiting list for counselling and getting told that it's going to be months before you see someone?Craft therapy could help :-) It can be knitting, crocheting, glass painting, furniture upcycling, making bath bombs,proggy/clippy mats anything is possible.

It is important to realise that craft therapy is an option or to run alongside your medication. Some people don't really want to take pills in the fear of becoming reliant of them.Craft therapy can help you relax and help you something else to focus on

You can do it at home if you don't feel like going out or it's just a horrible day outside. There are places that do craft therapy that i know in the Stanley area. There is a cree in Annifield Plain, The Just for Women Centre in Stanley and The Hut for men at South Stanley. If you go on Craft therapy on the computor you may find a place in your area.

Craft therapy centres can help ypur self-worth as meeting new people and discuss problems that you might have and maybe could find a different way of dealing with it,it being i.e.anxiety,panic attacks, mental and emotional problems, fibro moimailgia, physical problems too

Personally i didn't want to take pills for my depression,i was scared i'd become dependent on them.So i knitted like a crazy person.I knitted so i didn't have time to think of this incredibly bad thing that happen. It kept my hands busy as well as my mind occupied. To be honest it works for me anyway.I would recommed it but if you need to take pills that is your choice.Everyone deserves to be happy, find your happiness it is out there just grab it :-D woop woop !!!!!!
