Candadian Geese have been a common sight on the canal since I have lived here. During the spring a couple of the regular geese had gooslings, we have watched these grow to very nearly adulthood with the attentive and protective support of the parents. They hatched two sets, one following the main brood with only two goslings which have always been smaller than their older siblings. Sadly one went missing which is not unexpected on this busy canal. The remaining one is now a good size and keeping up with the rest.
