In the community room of my local church twice a week volunteers wheel out 4 book shelves and the space becomes Sedgley Park Community Library. I don't think the books have changed since its inception when the council run library closed maybe 20 years ago.
I stared attending with Rue on Thursday afternoons.

its nearly across the street and is a nice low energy trip out which fit well into our week, I don't think he was quite as excited by the Browne Issue system (that thing where books have a card in which is filed and a date stamped in the wee pocket.) As I was, but the fact that the childrens books related to cartoons I used to watch as a child, works in our favour. The advent of Youtube means the boy has been raised on He-man & the The Claggers, we have stories on tape and Rueben has no idea how much of an anathema my parenting is

We recently became the volunteer to wheel out the shelves, and unpack the cards and the date stamp. I'm hoping raise awareness of this resourse and hopefully getting the community at large using it more.
