Four Wings
A snowdrop sizzles in the soft winter A raincloud quivers in the emptiness A torrent rattles between a treetop And a wing glitters in the vast darkness
A petal pinches the light of the spring A ripple of a river dries a tear A daisy-dot hilltop moistens a road And a wing, distant, draws gracefully near
A dune of sand embroiders the summer A bucket conquers with a reigning spade A seashell tiptoes across the concrete And a wing, befriending, is gently laid
A chestnut nurtures the furtive autumn A forest bestows a secret to none A leaf coils in a hand of the wind And a wing envelops a wounded one
