I told Rueben we where gonna do some maths before tv time. It was quite funny he went off and drew some equations, and came back like its okay I know it. I can’t find his drawing, it was v. Cute. I’ve been hiding the cuisenaire rods in a draw. Treating them like a secret special thing, “another time, we’ll use those.” Type of thing. He’s been talking about addition and numbers a lot so I decided it was time. I’m trying to keep it fun and quick. He has no patience and there is no point in doing hours of things, if they ain’t enjoying it they ain’t listening, And therefore not learning. He was so into it that he took it out again after dinner and wanted to write out some maths. Then dropped the rods all over the floor,I think his favourite bit is sorting them into the box.
