I have recently reviewed my life situations since recently being widowed ,when we were together I probably felt a kind of safety net , since being on my own I've seen things quite differently. I have received really good advice from CAB,who with there advice I managed to, after assessment get a blue badge. (very helpful ) then attendance allowance ,wish is so helpful to pay people to do jobs I cannot do anymore . I look around my surroundings and take any measures to feel safe and warm at home .outside the home I am aware of threats to everyday life, like there are certain places I will not visit at certain times of the year.but  also refused to be cowed, and feel a great measure of safety with regard to police.and our fantastic men and women in our armed forces,of which I am immensly proud .and wish them all safe return.i know a lot of guys out there at my age will probably feel similar to me,I would just say there is so much help and with a little posative thinking and not being afraid to ask for advice you can enjoy and feel safe with what life throws at us.good luck for the future !.
