This is the new Edge Lane Allotments community workshop for members of the community to learn how to sow seeds, crop rotation, plant vegatables, make bird boxes and ask as many questions as possible about allotmenteering.
So far we have had interest from Droylsden Academy, Manchester Road Primary School, Boys Brigade and the DISCUS Project, who initially did all the hard labour clearing the site, so without The DISCUS Project this would not have been possible.
We would also like to thank Manchester City Council, Belvant for all his free skips, The Big Lottery Fund, Jessica Mayo from Peoples Voice Media, 4CT, Price Waterhouse Cooper, members of the community for their time and of course Edge Lane Committee and plotholders.
And finally Oakenclough Buildings for the supply and construction of the log cabin (which only took 3 men, 2 days).
