A reflective interview with a young person exploring their experience of the COVID-19 Pandemic as part of the CONTINUE Project.

uh, how was the different periods of lockdown for you? Ok, so, um, the first lockdown. Well, lockdown happened when I was in year 11. And so initially I was really worried because I haven't done my I hadn't any exam like my g CS e s. Um, so that was, like, my first initial like concern when I found out we were going into lockdown, but over, like, the first, uh, few weeks in the first lockdown, I kind of saw, Like, how relaxing it was to stay at home, Um, and so started doing different activities to see what I really, really liked and kind of looking at different hobbies

But gradually, it just kind of got a bit more like boring. If you could say it was almost like having the same routine trying to find different, um, hobbies to do. Um, So I was glad when we got out of the lockdown

Uh, second lockdown. We still went to school, but everything was closer. That was OK for me to at least start seeing friends at school

Um, and the third lockdown. I think that wasn't too bad, either. I because we knew we were coming out of that lockdown pretty quickly

Um, and it just seemed, I don't know, more relaxing again. Just kind of have that break, uh, in between and just do online classes. So I think the biggest takeaway is it's just that it gets relaxing, and then it gets really boring towards the end, and you can just wanna get out of it
