How can we make Greater Manchester more resourceful and resilient? This is just one of the questions that CityCampMCR, which launches on 14th June at NOHO in the Northern Quarter, looks to answer. The aim of the project is to bring people together to skillshare and address some of the contemporary issues of modern city living with a Manchester focus.

At 6.30pm on 14th June, Ed Mayo, Secretary General of Co-operatives UK, and Ocia Koranteng, a speaker and facilitator who has worked with excluded communities and grassroots activists in Salford and Manchester, will launch CityCamp in Manchester and explain how people can get involved.

Community Reporters interested in food, transport, recycling, open data, new technologies, community development and regeneration may find this Community Reporting opportunity of particular value.

The launch, at NoHo bar in the Northern Quarter will be an opportunity for people to find out about the event in September and network.

We are looking for Community Reporters to interview key speakers and people attending the event.

If you want to get involved contact me by email : julie@peoplesvoicemedia.co.uk or call 0161 230 1430 by Monday 13th June.
