I've had a green coat I use in the winter for the past three years. Half the buttons are missing and its getting a bit holey and worn down. My wife finally convinced me to get a new coat which arrived yesterday. And it has changed my life. Seriously! No longer am I shivering when I'm waiting for a bus. I put this coat on yesterday for my day trip out to Sheffield and you would not believe how warm I felt. It sounds silly, but I was astonished at how much more comfortable I felt. I was able to sit and read on my phone rather than just shiver and think about how cold I was the whole time.
I guess sometimes, you really should invest in something if it is going to make a real difference in your day-to-day life. Coats are expensive, this one was expensive. But I can imagine I'm going to get at least 3-4 years of use out of it.
And it will help me stop shivering while I'm waiting for the 36...
