Soldiers Off The Street - Scotland is a Registered Charity and have been Registered since 26 August 2010 with a dedicated group of people determined to help the forgotten ex service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness. We all think they deserve better after going through the traumatic experience of war in far off lands, what they have been through for the country they love, to be forgotten and homeless is a national disgrace. This charity intends to put right for as many as they can!

Although the charity is called Soldiers off the Street they do not deal with just soldiers they also help all ex-service personnel Army, RAF and RN past and present not just present conflict.

The charity's objectives are the relief of charitable need of homeless ex-service personnel, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of clothing, food and rehabilitation, including advice on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcoholism, drug abuse, housing and employment. SOTS is an independent charity that do not apply for government funding as they feel they are part of the problem that leads to veterans becoming homeless, so they work with all veterans from all military forces past and present. The youngest client we have had was 19 years old and the eldest was 84 years old, we work with any other charity that will help rehome or treat homeless veterans as long as they genuinely have the veteran’s best interest at heart as we do not get involved in bickering and point scoring.

Soldiers off the street is a non-political charity with no political connections whatsoever and will never have as we feel charity work and politics do not belong together.

Our local Breakfast Club recently had another whip round and presented £200- to 'Hammy' over in Dundonald camp where they are currently renovating 2 houses in preparation to home soldiers on the street. The renovations are being carried out by volunteers who are giving up their time and putting in very long hours to support those in need. If you would like to help us help forgotten ex service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness, please give generously if you cannot why not just give the price of a pint if we met in a pub you would not think twice about buying me a pint would you, it all helps.

100% of all donations goes into the running of S.O.T.S Thank you from all those that cannot thank you themselves!
