Awwwww it feels so refreshing to relieve myself of stuff that doesn't belong to me. I understad we are all a work in progress and I don't think accelerated learning is applicable to ones emotional intelligence - consider this as a trial run.
These last few days have been quite eye opening in terms of revealing to me that what I think and feel is valid and right. One of things that as occupied my time has been Facebook - the social networking site. The place where most self respecting people hang out for variable amounts of time. I called my time on there 'research'.
My friends on facebook vary from long lost connections, work colleagues, new friends and real friends. The diversity of these is what keeps me on it. Enjoying debates, catching up and keeping in touch with those nearest and dearest.
I got a request from someone who didn't fall into any of these categories and could colloquially be called a frenemy. As I deliberated over whether or not to add said person, I thought - lets just see. I had my suspicions and concerns but added anyway. To cut a long story short, I was recently deleted, not like it matters really apart from my personal lesson with regards to my instincts being on point.
I would say its more about being discerning to oneself. Your instinct is the guide which tells you when you need to 'fight or flight'. It is your instinct that makes the hairs on the back of your neck that you did not even realise you had, stand on end. Your instincts are the sudden cold feeling you have when you realise that you may be in a vulnerable position. It is your awareness of circumstances that are seen and unseen. This can also be called your inner guide.
There are a number of things that may disable your instinct - the main ones being a disconnection from self which is essentially you not looking after yourself, being tired. In life, all things are meant to balance, which is why they have opposites. The trick is to find a middle ground. I know myself when I overindulge in any area of my life, things begin to feel uneasy for me/
