Today I went to Peel Park (Salford) for the first time in 34 years.  As I sat on a bench staring at the river Irwell slowly drifting by I was flooded with memories of when I was a boy and used to play in the park with my mates, it was one of the few places where I would let myself go and enjoy being a kid playing hide and seek and climbing trees with abandon being carefree.  It made me think about what I would do if I could go back and do it over - what would I change?  Well I would make sure that I enjoyed being a kid a lot more than I did I was so busy worrying about so many things that my childhood just passed me by, you don't think on your deathbed I wish I had worried more - no you should get out and play with your mates as much as you can because as I can tell you - you cannot go back.
