Hi my name is Mike Kelly and I am new to the Community Reporter website. I have recently joined a Community Reporter Course in Salford, Lancashire in the United Kingdom and now find its time to start to think about submitting articles. Prior to submitting anything I thought it might be useful to put up a potted history of how I had come to be on the course and what my interests are.
I had taken early retirement and was looking for things to do to occupy the spare time I had available. The course information suggested that we would be producing news items with a green / sustainability theme. This was ideal as my main interests are music, reading,politics and green issues.
I hope in time to produce articles on all of the above and to put them up on the website. I hope to make contact with others both in the U.K and worldwide with similar interests with a view to sharing information and learning about how things are in their area.
