As a resident of Kersal I would like to write about the flood barrier that was built to stop the river i
irwell from flooding kersal and broughton.i have lived in kersel 45 years and l have never seen the irwell flood the football pitches.
I had reservations about the flood barriers how wrong could l have been, in 2015 after some dreadful weather the river did over flow and flood the field within 4feet from the the top off
barrier if this barrier had not been there kersal would have been severely flooded therefore
I have changed my opinion about the barriers
