~~Bridge and Mah-jong – This activity is organised by Salford U3a and takes place every Thursday between 14.00 hrs and 16.00 hours. The subscriptions of £20 are payable to U3a at the start of the year and each Thursday an amount of 50p is payable for tea or coffee and biscuits. An interval of about 15 minutes is taken about 15.00 hrs for people to socialise before starting to play either Bridge or Mah-jong again up to 16.00 hrs. There are people available to give advice on both activities and the numbers attending vary each week from between twenty to thirty on average.
