Historical artefacts are found in museums. Right? Or wrong? Well, the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester decided to find out what treasures were hiding in people’s homes – could there be a hidden wealth of artefacts waiting to be uncovered, museums in own households?

As the saying goes, if you don’t ask, you don’t get. But if DO ask…well, it turns out there ARE a fantastic number of fascinating and beautiful stories and objects that people are just waiting to share. How about a copy of the newspaper from 1918 declaring the First World War to be over?
