We had a good day on the allotment yesterday, filming with the postcode lottery crew, they included Director John, Sound Engineer Nick and runner Soraya.
The weather was a bit dodgy and we had to run for shelter into our tents on a few occasions as it chucked it down and we even had thunder and lightning.
Thanks to everyone who came down yesterday, Christine, Mike B, Mike S, Trevor, Steve, Jim, Simon Miranda, Kevin, Sian, Nicole and Aydan you were all wonderful and thanks to all of those who have posted messages of support.
We met Dave Morris from the National Society of Allotment Growers and discussed our ongoing strategy, further actions may include presenting a report to the Local Government Ombudsman detailing Tameside Councils maladministration of the Ashton moss allotment site contract and seeking a High Court judicial review against Tameside Council for their breach of statutory duty by failing to provide us with allotments in Ashton within a reasonable timescale
After filming on the Ashton Moss allotment site we harvested some of our produce and took it down to Ashton Town Hall where we delivered it to and asked for it to be presented to the Council as a token of what could be grown on the Ashton Moss Allotment site.
