I am sure that there are lots of people out there who have been involved with alzheimers either living with someone or know of somebody who has this illness.
I think that this must be soul destroying especially for the families taking care of a loved one.
Years ago I had an aunty with this illness and I know how much it hurt me and her family to see her change from a really strong caring lady into somebody
who on many days didn't even know who she was. My aunty only remembered me as a school girl and not a married woman with children which I was. I just had
to go along with being a school girl and talked to her about my school day because that is what she wanted to hear but as long as she was happy that was all
that mattered to me.
My heart goes out to all the carers as it must be so difficult to live with this illness, but we must all try and remember the person they were and probably still are
