A group of 8 young people from  East Salford have just completed a 12 week training programme with Groundwork.

The course, ran by the Prince's Trust helps young people increase confidence and self esteem through different challenges from hiking in the countryside to doing work experience on a farm!

The course finished with an awards ceremony at The Hub where each of the groups got to present what they had done and achieved.

Shaun Cassidy told the crowd I used to mess around on my computer and do nothing. It was really boring. But now, I've been hiking, gardening and made some great friends'.

If you want to hear exactly what the group got up to, head over to the Community Reporter website where Shaun has performed a poem the group came up with summing up the event.
