Before I joined the Community Reporting training; I worked as Volunteer with Visible Outcome - Work Club. I did not know, exactly what was expected from me and I was wondering how this training is going to help me with my voluntary work. After the first week, of my Training ; I realize that, the the training is not only linked to my work but it is a tool which can be used to bring together my community and highlight better their needs.
During my Training Course, I learned the following :
- Technics on how to carry out a successful interview and how to chose and formulate questions.
- During my Training, I learned how to investigate communities related issues and how to select issues depending on their Categories e.g: Environmental issue.
My experience here at the Training center has been amazing, I met here two colleague called: Daniel and Linden and they are good friend of mine now. Our Instructor Mr. Matt has been helpful and supportive during our training; his leadership and guidance has help me to look at the Community reporting course in a different context. He helped me to realize that, everybody has a story and we can learn from each other: if our experiences are reported and shared.
I would like to thank the Inspiring Community Together for give me an opportunity to learn how to report and share the experience of my communities , especially the BMI communities( Refugee, Asylum and Migrant)
