Having known of the Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) for 25 + years, Derek Broadbent, an intrigued individual who had some knowledge of the coalition early in the development of the forum before anything concrete had taken effect.

Starting out with his good friend Ian, who had been given notice of the GMCDP’s inauguration stage, passed it on to the eager Derek. Armed with this information, along with Ian, Derek proceeded to persuade and recruit a number of friends in helping speed up the process to which it has come to be known today.

Being given a tangible outlook on the firms developing stage over the years, Derek very quickly figured out having been seen as in favour of disabled individuals from both sides of society’s views, feeling extremely excited to take on the challenges of the variable morals though out the nation and partaking in deciphering the appropriate pieces.

So during the years in numerous forums throughout his time with the Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP), Derek has developed an overwhelmed approach and passionate way of life from societies views of disheartened way of thinking.

This organisation has deeply changed and moulded Derek with a   positive way on life yet still being able to not see the forum as a job, because of being within the confines of friends.
