The Olympic ceremony was a great opening night, as a family we all enjoyed that but the coming in of the teams into the stadium was rather too long.
Its a shame seeing so many seats empty at the sporting events. The organisers should have done a deal with the sponsors when they gave them tickets. The organiser should have told the sponsors when they gave them the tickets that they have to ring a certain time before the events if they are going to attend, then the organiser can fill the seats to the public if the ticket holder from the sponsor companies don't contact them to confirm. I know it will cost more for setting up such system but at the end of the day they will make more money and more good PR.
I hope at the next one in 4 years time that the organiser will adopt such a scheme
